Jesus Pereda is an associate attorney with Barsamian & Moody. He represents employers in all aspects of employment law such as litigating wage and hour class actions and defending employers against Cal/OSHA citations. He also helps employers avoid litigation altogether by providing them with the knowledge, advice, and planning necessary to navigate constantly changing laws and regulations.

Mr. Pereda earned his undergraduate degree from California State University, Fresno, in Business Administration with an option in Accountancy. After graduating, he remained in the Central Valley where he assisted business owners and developed his skills in business management and accounting. He went on to obtain a Juris Doctorate from San Joaquin College of Law where he served as a representative of student interests and wrote for San Joaquin Agricultural Law Review, a law journal highlighting legal issues closely related to agriculture.

After graduating and passing the bar, Mr. Pereda practiced criminal defense where he advocated for his clients in the courtroom. He would eventually find his way back to assisting business owners as he did prior to practicing law, this time representing them in labor and employment law matters.

Aside from practicing law, Mr. Pereda enjoys camping, fishing, and hiking with his family. When he cannot make it out of the city, he is most likely to be found at a local eatery enjoying great food. Mr. Pereda is currently a member of the Fresno County Bar Association and Fresno County Young Lawyers Association.
